Wolverhampton is fast becoming a leading Smart Digital City.
Internet of Things (IoT) sensors enable urban areas to control aspects of public services and utilities, from street lighting, traffic management and car parking remotely. Data collected from sensors support the management of city services; enabling cost savings by directing resources to where and when they are most needed. Environmental sensors that detect, monitor and track air quality and temperature alongside those that count footfall, traffic and cyclists are used in city planning and regeneration.
